Logos
Problem: No matter what your company is, you need a great logo to capture the imagination of your clients, whether you are a pizza delivery operation or a criminal defense attorney.
LogoWorks, for the money, can't be beat. For $299, two designers will give you four to six designs and you'll get two rounds of revisions to make it how you want it. Check out the before-and-after shots on their Web site and you'll see why they’re worth it. Premium packages are also available for $1,200 that includes complete website design.
Solution 2: Go to http://www.logomaker.com/ to create your own logo in minutes - it works great!
In any case, search the web to make sure you find the propercost/value for your money. Other sites include www.logobee.com and www.logodesignguru.com

I happen to be a graphic designer and I run my own small studio, or small business. I take it that the advise here doesn't respect other small business owners like myself and do professional work.
If you get a cheap logo, it's gonna be just that... if you don't care about your logo, and all you need is a simple swoosh, then go for it, but don't fool yourself into thinking it's original. And think about it, there are times when you will need a designer or studio to assist you with marketing and strategy, and building your website. Start a relationship, build off of it, respect your suppliers, think ahead, and create a respectful brand using home-grown talent. |

Sign up with Worth1000.com and start a contest. It'll cost around $100 for prize (cheapest I think). But the talent of all the competitions I've seen are amazing.
